Dr. Sanjeev Acharya is a Senior Consultant Nephrologist with over ten years of clinical and academic experience in managing complex kidney disorders, critical care nephrology, and renal transplantation. He completed his MBBS from Kathmandu Medical College in 2007 and began his medical journey at Patan Hospital, where he built a solid foundation in internal medicine. His passion for nephrology led him to pursue a postgraduate Master's degree in the field from Jiamusi University in China, which he completed in 2015. From 2015 to 2022, Dr. Acharya served as a Consultant Nephrologist at Sumeru Hospital in Lalitpur, where he played a key role in developing kidney care services. During this same period (2018–2021), he served as a Lecturer in Internal Medicine at KIST Medical College, contributing to the education of future physicians. At NKC and Nepal Mediciti, Dr. Acharya manages a broad spectrum of conditions including acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), glomerulonephritis, end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and patients requiring hemodialysis or kidney transplantation. He is recognized for his diagnostic accuracy, empathetic patient interactions, and commitment to evidence-based practice. A strong advocate for preventive kidney health, Dr. Acharya has been actively involved in Nepal's national 'Mirgaula Bachaun Abhiyaan' (Save the Kidneys Campaign), traveling throughout the country to promote early detection, kidney health education, and preventive care.
